We’ve put together a kit that will guide you through how to run your own session for family or friends.

What will the session cover?

Our kit has a suggested agenda for you to run a session that will last 1-2 hours.

The first hour is focused on information about why document storage matters, which documents are important to keep copies of, and how electronic document storage can help people feel more prepared for an emergency, and the legal problems that could follow.

The second hour will be a ‘do it yourself’ activity to start learning how to create electronic copies of documents using one of the four most common storage solutions:

  • Using your device (your phone, computer, or tablet)
  • Using a USB
  • Using the ‘cloud’
  • Using your emails

Participants can follow along our step-by-step instructions for each option, and start practicing the steps to create electronic copies of important documents.

What do I need to run a session?

All you need is a yourself and a group of people who are interested in learning how to store electronic copies of their documents.

If you want to run the session as a live ‘do it yourself’ storage session where people begin making copies of their documents and storing them electronically, you will also need:

  • Access to a computer or mobile device
  • Access to the internet
  • Access to a scanner
